Momotaro Auction - October 1st 2009 - Photos
The first Momotaro Auction of the Autumn 2009 Koi Buying Season took place today, with many buyers from all over the world...and Koibito Japan was there in the middle of the action...
Buyers from many Asian countries and some Japanese wholesale buyers were present at the first Momotaro Auction of the 2009 Autumn Buying Season. Everyone was eager to get their hands on the first of the Nisai available from Momotaro this year. Koibito was buying for our customers, and managed to get some nice fish in what was a very busy auction with lots of action. The Showa (left) was one of our targets that we claimed for a Koibito Japan customer, isn't she a beauty!?!?!
Average prices overall were just around 380,000 yen, with the Mako Showa (Magoi Bloodline) going for an average price of over 600,000 yen a piece!!! The first six Showa on offer today all went for over 1,000,000 yen, with one hitting the dizzy heights of 2,000,000 yen...
A great start to the 2009 Autumn buying season, and we are now looking forward to seeing many of you in Japan over the next couple of months...
